In this framework, on 11th and 13th of October 2022, as a part of students’ visits to InnoRenew CoE, I presented to them the topic of sustainability, the role of renewable materials with an emphasis on the global carbon cycle and climate change mitigation.
For high-school students, this was followed by an investigation of consumer habits done by students after the workshop. They considered their daily lives from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to sleep and looked for solutions to how small changes can affect greenhouse gas emissions and resource use. They exchanged their ideas with each other and reached a common consensus, which they then presented to the mayor and the city council.
Primary school students, on the other hand, recreated their experience at InnoRenew CoE with an artistic spin and presented their artistic works at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska’s lobby.
